Not exactly a powder alert, but..

Looking out on the world shrouded in cold dry snow, of an evening in January, at four years old.. ?

Looking out on a world shrouded in cold dry snow, of an evening in January, at four years old.. ?

I wonder what memories my son will have later in life of this evening ..cold hands ..perfect sliding sensations ..a depth of beauty that only seems to exist in the past? Temperatures at Cotos hovered about two to three below zero, and as i towed him up thru the forest a second time he was beginning to feel a little cold, the second run down as dusk settled around us was even better than the first, and the silence and beauty of the evening that enveloped us was ineffable ..some of us have to be thankful for our lives.

As the title says, not exactly a powder alert, nowhere near the desired foot of fresh..but not bad. Sometimes 10cm of cold and dry can be pretty good. And it was today. Moreover, as cold temps are set to install themselves, maybe we can hope for more..

About coldspringdays

Éireannach is ea mé, i mo chonaí insan Spáinn. Rugadh mé i lár na tuaithe, ar feadh blianta bhí mé ag teitheadh uaithi, i bhfad as an tuath, ach sa deireadh d'fhill mé, ar ais go dtí an tuath.. An Irishman am I, settled in Spain. Born was I in the middle of the country, for years I ran from it, far from the country, but in the end I returned, back to the country..
